Hi, I'm Mohamad Al Darwich, a Lebanese writer and director based in Paris, France.
My work explores memory, loss, guilt, and the lasting impact of intimate choices. I am particularly interested in characters shaped by their past and confronted with moral responsibility, approached through restrained and visually driven storytelling.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Cinema, a Master's degree in Cinematography, and an MBA in Audiovisual Production. My background in cinematography, editing, and production informs my approach to directing, combining visual precision with an understanding of the creative and practical realities of filmmaking.
I am drawn to stillness, silence, duration, and the emotional tension that emerges through behaviour rather than explanation.
